Dr. Albert L. Valente, D.O.
Dr. Valente is board certified in Internal Medicine. His diverse background and training encompass Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine and Chiropractic. This allows him to practice a unique integrative approach to medicine and pain management.
He graduated from James Madison University in 1983 and then New York Chiropractic College in 1987. After practicing chiropractic for several years, he attended New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated as the valedictorian in his class with a doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine in 1992.
Dr. Valente returned to Virginia and completed an Internal Medicine residency at the Medical College of Virginia Hospital (MCVH). He worked as an ER physician at MCVH and was named the director of the ER’s Urgent Care Unit, which he helped develop. In 2002, after seven years in the ER, Dr. Valente, with his diverse background, opened an integrative medical and pain management practice, Springfield Medical Center, P.C.
Dr. Suzanne Lagosky, D.O.
Dr. Lagosky is board certified in Osteopathic Medicine, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Her experience and expertise includes osteopathic treatment, spinal injections, regenerative medicine (PRP/Prolotherapy), and preventative care/exercise consultation for musculoskeletal problems.
She graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 1985 and went on to the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine to obtain her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine in 1989. After an Internal Medicine Internship at the Polyclinic Medical Center in Pennsylvania, and her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington D.C., she moved to the Richmond area to practice.
Since 1993 she has been providing pain management and rehabilitation services to the Richmond area and joined Springfield Medical Center in September 2017.
